Asha Rani
I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Jodhpur, advised by Dr. Yashaswi Verma. My thesis — "Label Similarity Guided Joint Feature Learning Using Multi-View and Multi-Source Data" (submitted August 2025) — develops unified frameworks that exploit label structure across multiple data views and modalities.
I have published in Q1/Q2 journals and presented at WACV 2024 (Hawaii, USA), supported by ANRF International Travel Support and WACV DEI Travel Grant.
Research Interests
Multimodal & Multi-view Learning
Joint feature learning across heterogeneous data sources and modalities using canonical correlation and contrastive methods.
Multi-label & Extreme Classification
Scalable classification over large label spaces with random feature embeddings and label-similarity guidance.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnosis
Early-stage ASD detection from action/activity videos using multi-dataset contrastive learning.
Cross-modal Multimedia Retrieval
Dual-correlation CCA models for cross-modal matching between text and visual content.
